Our Journey
Mrs. Diane's Testimony and Her Why
Our journey began with Diane Easley, a visionary who felt God’s calling to make a tangible difference. After years of directing a women’s addiction recovery program followed by prison ministry, Diane recognized what she called a “revolving door pattern”.
Women had been given the tools they needed to succeed, but once they left the ‘bubble’ of treatment or incarceration, something sinister was always waiting for them. She knew there needed to be a safe place where these women could implement and walk out the skills they had learned so they could truly break the cycles of addiction, abuse and trauma.
In 2003, With a great deal of prayer, work, dedication and community support - Sue’s Home was born.
We teach life skills like
Trauma Counseling
Parenting
Relationship Building

Breakthrough
Understanding the unique struggles faced by youth aging out of the foster care system, we initiated Breakthrough. This program is tailored to meet the emotional and practical needs of these young individuals, providing them with a stable support system, life skills training, and the trust-building opportunities they often lack. Breakthrough is designed to empower these young adults to navigate the complexities of independence successfully, ensuring they have the resources and confidence to thrive.
My Home
With housing being a fundamental need that impacts overall stability and well-being, we launched My Home. This initiative focuses on helping individuals and families secure affordable housing, addressing one of the most pressing challenges in our community. By facilitating access to safe and stable housing, My Home plays a crucial role in our comprehensive support system, ensuring that those we serve have a solid foundation upon which to build their futures.
After years of substance abuse, alternating between treatment programs, Sue Gray had hit rock bottom. Sue found herself dropped off at Home of Grace in Gautier, Miss., where Miss Diane Easley worked. They immediately started working on Sue’s sobriety, having hard conversations over the first year.
Sue’s struggles with sobriety had left her estranged from her son Damien, but Miss Diane was able to help locate Damien and reconnect the two, as well as help prepare the two for the difficult setting of reconnecting.
After completing her treatment, Sue became a night manager at Home of Grace, and continued to work with Diane but as a colleague.
In 2003, Diane founded Community Care Network. She credits Sue with giving her the idea of a place for people to go as a second step, after incarceration or treatment. Sue became Diane’s first employee.
Unfortunately, about 16 months after Sue joined CCN, she passed away. At Sue’s funeral, Diane re-named the facility in Sue’s honor.
